About
I started this blog to try to focus on the positives of life, and try to share the stories/issues/events/etc. that I care about. My goal is to live happily, simply and positively, and this blog my way of documenting my journey of figuring that out. In May 2012, I received my Master of Public Health degree from the Arnold School of Public Health at the University of South Carolina. My focus was health promotion, education and behavior.
I received my undergraduate degree in journalism and mass communications from USC in 2007, worked as a copy editor and page designer in Florence, S.C., for two years, and then lived at Jubilee Partners for five months in Comer, Ga. Jubilee Partners is an intentional Christian service community that focuses on teaching English and assisting newly arrived refugees. My time there really changed my life, and helped me refocus and recharge. You can read about my time here and here and sporadically throughout this blog.

Hi—just stumbled upon your blog and love it
I live in Charlotte so it’s nice to see a local around here–even if you are in Florence!
Hi!! Yes, I love finding SC/NC bloggers too. I’m actually in Fort Mill, just south of Charlotte, at the moment waiting to move to Columbia, SC, for grad school in august.
I’m kind of all over the state this summer. I added your blog to my google reader, but it isn’t working for some reason. I’ll have to investigate further..
Hi Lizzie! Is there an email address we can contact you at? Please email me at the address above – I’d love to hear from you!
